The MSc in Precision Neurorehabilitation (PNR) is a three-year, part-time programme at the Lake Lucerne Institute that brings together clinical rehabilitation, neuroscience, engineering, and movement science. It is designed for clinicians and movement scientists who want to develop interdisciplinary expertise across the full rehabilitation spectrum \u2014 from fundamental neural mechanisms to technology-driven interventions.<\/p>\n
This month, the programme’s second cohort completed their intensive course weeks on-site in Vitznau. From 14 to 25 September 2026, students gathered at the Lake Lucerne Institute for two weeks of full-day teaching \u2014 the start of their first semester and their first opportunity to experience the programme’s unique learning environment in person.<\/p>\n
The two weeks covered a broad range of foundational topics: Neuroscience, Principles of Neurorehabilitation and Clinical Reasoning, Scientific Methods, Mathematics for Movement Analysis, and Introduction to Programming. Students also attended Spotlight Research Seminars with guest researchers from partner institutions, offering early exposure to cutting-edge work in the field.<\/p>\n
The cohort brings together physiotherapists, occupational therapists, movement scientists, and health professionals from a remarkably broad range of backgrounds, and their motivation and enthusiasm made for a genuinely stimulating two weeks. As the semester now continues online, with classes on Mondays and Tuesdays through December. We are very much looking forward to the years ahead with this group.<\/p>\n
