We are thrilled that Jiahui An, one of our affiliated PhD students, has been awarded the prestigious Excellence Program scholarship by the UZH Digital Society Initiative at the University of Zurich. Jiahui’s research focuses on developing digital biomarkers for mental workload estimation using functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS), with the perspective of applying this in home-based rehabilitation.
Jiahui’s thesis is an exciting interinstitutional collaboration between neuroscience (Josef Schönhammer, NeuroCoRe UZH), technology (Dominic Ryser, RELab ETH Zürich), and neurorehabilitation (Chris Easthope Awai, Lake Lucerne Institute).
